Time to install new insulation in your home?
Get answers to your questions.
At Standard Insulating Company, we take our customers’ needs and expectations very seriously. That is why our process has been refined and tested over the years. From your initial contact to the final cleanup at your home, our team strives to make your home insulation improvement the best experience possible.
We Ask — and Answer — Lots of Questions
From our first conversation to schedule a free energy analysis to our initial meeting, our insulation experts ask a lot of questions — and we listen to your answers. Is there a room that always seems too hot or cold? Are you noticing damp, musty odors coming from your crawl space? Are your heating and cooling bills too high? Your dedicated energy consultant will spend time finding out what problems you may be experiencing with your home.
Once we have a better understanding of your pain points and goals, we’ll show you how insulation, air sealing and crawl space improvement can improve your home comfort.
What Work Will Be Done?
With our 74 years of experience serving the greater Charlotte, NC area — including Gastonia, Rock Hill, Kannapolis, and Mooresville — we understand the common troublespots in local homes. We’ll inspect your attic and crawl space and make note of potential air leakage locations using thermal imaging. This technology allows us to pinpoint where your insulation may be missing, damaged, or underperforming.
Once we’ve completed this analysis, we’ll provide a detailed report with recommendations to improve your home’s comfort and efficiency year round.
Will You Need to Tear Down My Interior Walls?
In most cases, we can access areas behind the walls and ceilings with minimally invasive techniques. We use a combination of easy-to-install Owens Corning fiberglass batts and blown-in fiberglass insulation to reach even the most difficult-to-access areas of your home. We’ll also identify areas where air leakage can be sealed with hand-applied spray foam and caulking.
Do I Need to Leave During the Project Work?
The insulation we install is made from non-toxic materials, so you can safely remain at home during the work. From the very first knock on the door until our well-trained crew drives away, we take extreme measures to ensure that our work is clean, professional, and efficient. We make every effort to disrupt your day as little as possible.
Dedicated, No-Hassle Service
Our insulation team rolls out our “red carpet” service in your home. We lay protective floor runners and install corner covers to protect walls and floors from our work boots and equipment. Insulation removal, air sealing, and new insulation services are completed using the right amount of “people power” to complete your project in a single day. Once the work is complete, we’ll show you where the new insulation, radiant barrier, or crawl space solution has been completed so you can see what work has been done.
